Beginning May 15 through September 15 of each year the City of Darien restricts the watering of trees, gardens, lawns, shrubs, or other outdoor plants. Residents may not water between the hours of 11am and 7pm. This helps to conserve water by preventing evaporation during the hottest part of the day.
